How to sote pictures in SQL SERVER 2000 and retrive it using JSP?

Hi i m using jsp with sql server 200 i want to know the proper procedure of storing picture in database and retrive it from database. I usually use to store path of picture in db and get it through getContextPath() method is it proper to use it. i find this easy way to do it. Please help me to it properly.
