Which is my depandant and independant variable?

For physics I need to calculate the value of g Im doing this by dropping and object from a certain height and timing how long it takes to hit the floor, with this I calculate gravity. For my grath Im not sure about the variables. is time my depandant variable on the y axis and my height my indepandant variable on the x axis?
