How do I fix android IM?

Ever since I got my Motorola Cliq, I can't log into any IM accounts at all, and I always used to use aim. It says "Unable to log into AIM service. The server is unavailable." It's been like this for months. I was only able to log into it twice ever, and that was the first day I had it. How do I fix it?
